We are currently recruiting for the following areas:
Currimundi, Woombye, Baringa, Pelican Waters, Nirimba and Nambour.
These locations are supporting individuals in a SIL environment, where we provide supports 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
We have a variety of casual and permanent part time positions available, and our preference is for applicants who are willing to share in all shift times to ensure rosters are fair and equitable for all team members.
CSBS also offers paid training (including MAYBO), buddy shifts and induction, complemented with ongoing coaching and mentoring to successful applicants for supports in a variety of settings.
About you
You should have experience supporting individuals in complex Supported Independent Living (SIL) environments. You must enjoy working as a team and are committed to delivering quality support with a flexible availability.
We are particularly interested in anyone passionate about supporting people with:
- intellectual or physical disabilities
- autism
- cerebral palsy
- epilepsy
- dementia
Proficiency or willingness to be trained in the below is essential:
- PEG care
- transfers and hoisting
- MAYBO
- Positive Behaviour Support Plans
- providing high-level personal care
A tertiary qualification, ideally with a minimum Certificate III level in Disability or Aged Care, would be considered highly desirable.
Relevant probity items required
- a Positive Notice Yellow Card or NDIS Worker Screening Check, or the ability to obtain the latter
- a Positive Notice – Blue Card
- an Open Queensland Driver’s Licence
- a reliable motor vehicle with comprehensive insurance
- a current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- a reliable smartphone with data
- completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module ‘Quality, Safety and You’.
