Our support workers are our greatest asset
We believe support workers provide the best support to people when they are equipped with the right knowledge and systems to enable them to do their job.
Knowledge that ensures they understand how to work within the NDIS guidelines backed up by systems and resources that support them in their role.
We don’t believe in the online “tick and flick” inductions just to meet a compliance requirement.
Watching some videos at home, answering a few questions that are “knowledge” checks is simply not enough. Support work can be challenging and complex. It can be fun but also very emotionally taxing. There are a myriad of regulations that workers need to be very knowledgeable of to ensure they are providing supports that are within the NDIS Guidelines & Code of Conduct.
We have a comprehensive full day training and induction session with every new worker that joins CSBS in addition to an online induction. The sessions cover topics such as how to write a progress (shift) note, how to identify a restrictive practice and what to do if a reportable incident occurs.
