We Don't Hire Support Workers to Just Fill Shifts
We hire the right people! The ones who notice what others miss, and support someone to build a life on their own terms.
Show up with warm expertise. We'll match it
At Complex Supports Bespoke Solutions, every shift is someone’s story in progress. We’re a registered NDIS provider built around warm expertise; grounded, capable, human.
If you choose us, here are seven things we choose to give you in return.
Our Seven Promises

1. Be part of someone's story
We call it the Golden Thread of Advocacy. Your work isn’t a task list it’s how someone keeps moving toward the life they choose.
- You’ll know the people you support their goals, their patterns, what matters to them.
- You’ll be trusted to notice the small things that change everything.
- Your observations shape the plan, the team, and the outcome.

2. Better sleepover pay
We pay to the SCHADS award in full — base rates, penalty rates, allowances. The first hour of every sleepover sits above the award.
- Sleep disturbance: the first hour is paid as active work every sleepover, disturbed or not above the award.
- Penalty rates, allowances and travel paid to the award in full no shaving, no surprises.
- Pay reviewed annually in line with award movements.

3. A visible career ladder
You can see where you’re going from your first shift. The ladder is built, not implied.
- Support Worker → Lead Support Worker → Team Leader → Operations Management.
- Clinical pathway into our RN-led Nursing Team for people with the right qualifications.
- Progression is mapped to skill descriptors, not tenure or luck.

4. Study supported at work
If you’re studying; Cert IV, Diploma, Nursing, Allied Health, your placement can happen inside your CSBS role, with on-shift supervision.
- Placement hours count as paid hours wherever possible.
- On-shift supervision from qualified team members.
- Study leave, assessment support, and a manager who actually knows what you’re working on.

5. Training beyond the baseline
Mandatory training is the start, not the standard. We invest in the skills that make complex support actually work.
- HIDPA modules for high-intensity daily personal activities.
- Positive behaviour support – practical, not theoretical.
- Our own Hitchhiker’s Guide to the NDIS Galaxy – so you actually understand the system you’re working in.

6. Wellbeing you can use
Wellbeing isn’t a poster in the staffroom. It’s benefits you can book this week.
- Fitness Passport – access to gyms, pools and fitness classes across Australia.
- EAP – confidential counselling for you and your immediate family.
- Leave that respects the work- including time after hard shifts.

7. A place that stands for something
We’re built around five pillars; Competency, Connection, Credibility, Clarity, Creativity.
They’re how we hire, how we coach, and how we decide.
- Person-first, every time. We don’t reduce people to plans or labels.
- We back our team to make the call in the moment.
- We say so when we get it wrong, and we change what isn’t working.
