Kevin Long
Service Manager
I happily reside in Gympie with my partner and Harry my dog. I have more than 13 years’ experience working in disability and supporting people though various roles, including daily supports, casework, advocacy, and service delivery planning.
Prior to working as a service manager, I was a team leader developing customer relationships and responding to a range of NDIS enquiries about supports and services.
I have coordinated the daily routine of activities in SIL houses and have experience providing hands on supports to people with complex support needs.
I am an experienced trainer and take a team-based approach to delivering participant-centred care and services.
I am a people-person and enjoy meeting people with different life experiences and creating environments where everyone is included, and everyone’s opinion is valued.
I have a Certificate IV and III in Disability (2014 / 2010) and Certificate in Therapeutic Aquatics (2010), and Trade Certificate Cookery (1991). I have completed a Therapeutic Crisis Intervention course through Child Safety in 2018 and have my mental health first aid certificate (2018).
Irene Brogan
Service Manager
I was born and bred in Tamworth and currently live with my family in a lovely leafy suburb of Brisbane.
My very first job was as a support worker, and I have made a career of working with people to improve their health and wellbeing ever since. I am passionate about working in the disability sector and enjoy delivering excellent outcomes for people and their families.
I have set-up several supported independent living properties and successfully delivered supports to people requiring complex needs, including people requiring psychosocial disability supports to get back into work, or reconnect with their friends and community.
I have a thorough understanding of the NDIS and all its workings and can direct people to information to help them make decisions about the supports they want and need.
With extensive operational experience including providing direct supports, recruiting and rostering, and coaching and training my team, I have a proven track record of balancing a range of competing priorities to get the best outcomes for everyone.
I have a Certificate IV Leadership and Management (2017) and took part in the Challenge for Future Leadership Development Program (2013), I graduated with Bachelor of Education-Habilitation (1997).
It’s my goal to support people to achieve their goals and have some fun along the way.
